Acoustic + ELECTRIC Character

This is another character from that UK teaching project I am illustrating. This is going to turn into a character reference sheet in a bit, but I wanted to start with a more balanced pose first.

This guy will be going full out hipster, vest, tie, button-up shirt and the lot. Deconstructing the outfit a bit though to modernize it, he'll have some tricked-out cargo pants, cuff-link arm bands, gigantic headphones; his color will be blue.

It's primarily just a pencil sketch (It's been a while since I've touched graphite), but I tossed some colors and tones on to test out some ideas. I rendered it with the tones very muted though, so there isn't much to see .

I referenced the the torso and weighting in the legs, everything else is extrapolated. I'm going to grab a different reference the arms, because I realized (while coloring) that the lower hand should be under, not over. Anyway, he looks okay, but I have to finish creating the distinction in the legs. I tend to draw legs together like that because the shape that joins them is often very useful for determining the balance of the figure (as they are often close together and the nearest element to the ground).
