the:final.Collapse - Spiral

I have a tendency towards this sort of composition, something about the solitude of the figure speaks to inevitability.

I put off scanning this as it was a much larger format piece, but it is from the same set as the other three "Spiral" pieces.

The pose for this one was cropped by ten minutes, so I only just got started toning. For the most part I like it, or at least the impression it gives. The perspective was constantly changing (I was sitting close to the model, so as I moved or leaned forward and back, the foreshortening would shift), so some of the forms are a bit off, but holding true to the original point abstraction helped. I like the hand, but that arm could use some work, as could the visible foot. I'd love to get in there and turn this one into a full painting, maybe with a nice indigo/soft violet color scheme. If this happens it will likely be digitally, as I'd have to transfer it to a different paper for painting.
