Now that we've got the main structure down, we know with certainty that FeedbackFrenzy will be a regularly occurring event! However, we've decided that each contest will be run a little differently, based on your feedback! For example, this second contest was run as an individual one, and implemented many of the great changes you suggested last time! So, let's hear from the critics - what did you like and where were places where you see room for improvement? Let us know in the comments below!
We've put together a few questions to get the discussion going!
  1. What was your overall impression of the contest? Did you enjoy being a part of it?

    :happybounce:
  2. Each deviant for themselves! What did you think of the individual competition structure?

    :salute:
  3. How did you feel about the updated features? Did you use the "Contest Deviations by Exposure"?

    :cuddle:
  4. This contest was about both giving and receiving feedback - how was the balance?

    :typerhappy:
  5. How did this experience compare to other competitions you've seen on deviantART?

    :dalove:
  6. What was your favorite part of the week?

    :squee:
  7. Your turn to be admin! What would you do differently?

    :meow:
  8. Next time we run this contest, will you play again?

    :eager:

We all put a lot into this (admin and participant alike) - and we got quite a lot out of it too! We asked for the best comments deviantART had to offer, and you delivered! So now we want to hear from the group and find out what everyone thought of the experience!

What was your overall impression of the contest? Did you enjoy being a part of it?
I always enjoy connecting with people that appreciate feedback and want to improve, i's still rare enough and I'm glad that my feedback was appreciated. I like the concept and the pressure of it, though towards the middle, I lost a bit of motivation as I hardly got any feedback until the last 2 days, believe.

Each deviant for themselves! What did you think of the individual competition structure?
I liked it a lot as everyone was responsible for his or her own score, no one there to hinder. On the other hand a tram offered a lot more motivation, also to look into different art cathegories. Maybe a nice idea would be to let people choose their own teams?

How did you feel about the updated features? Did you use the "Contest Deviations by Exposure"?
It's actually the feature I used most. I hardly got critiques myself at first, so I wanted to make sure that others didn't have the same problem. Great idea!

This contest was about both giving and receiving feedback - how was the balance?
I'm not sure, but I think I gave a bit more than I received. What's more, I believe that except for one I received all my critiques on thelast 1 or 2 days.

How did this experience compare to other competitions you've seen on deviantART?
I can't really tell as I've never participated in other dA contests.

What was your favorite part of the week?
I don't know... I actually had to mainly stop critiquing, leaving behind a half-finished critique I'm still working on as school got the better of me (again).

Your turn to be admin! What would you do differently?
Two things actually: The first: NOT put it so shortly before Christmas. Alright, there's holidays, but also baking and decorating and assembling presents and packing them and the family wants to spend times as well as friends... Unfortunate timing, in my opinion... But on this, someone always complains. :D
Second thing: I got this idea from NaNoWriMo about motivational speaches. I really liked the concept of receiving encouragement that is available to all participants and motivating to go on. I loved how you put together some points on how to give feedback, esp. the literature part, though.

Next time we run this contest, will you play again?
I honestly don't know. I'd love to, but I'm not sure if I can... Next term is going to be one hell of stress and business. I'll definitely try though!
